About Genie Insights

Founded in 2016, Genie Insights has built a strong reputation as a trusted business partner to global OEMs, vehicle converters, bodybuilders and leading fleet operators.

With a growing international presence, we now support customers across the UK, Europe and global markets.

Who Are We?

Genie Insights work as solution architects, helping fleet operators manage growing onboard power and energy demands through integrated systems that support performance, reliability and operational continuity.

Our approach goes beyond individual technologies. By combining solar, battery and wider energy solutions, we create systems that are built specifically for the realities of working vehicles – where uptime, efficiency and consistency matter most.

We are committed to ongoing product development, engineering quality and real-world performance. Every solution is designed to meet recognised vehicle standards and to operate reliably in demanding fleet environments, not just in ideal conditions.

Working with partners and fleets across the UK and Europe, Genie Insights provides scalable, future-ready power solutions that help vehicles stay operational, reduce downtime and adapt to increasing energy demands – without adding unnecessary complexity.

Industrial Expertise

At Genie Insights, transport is in our DNA. Our team’s careers span the full spectrum of the commercial vehicle sector — from truck sales and fleet management software to trailer and vehicle body manufacturing — giving us a depth of real-world fleet expertise that shapes everything we do.

Since establishing our solar offering and launching the solar division in 2019, we’ve grown into an international provider of commercial vehicle power solutions, working closely with fleet operators, OEMs and installation partners across the UK and Europe to develop solutions built for real operating conditions, not lab environments — from bespoke configurations to fully integrated systems.

Every product we deliver reflects that experience: engineered for performance, safety and longevity, and backed by ISO 9001 certified manufacturing and ECE R10 compliance for whole vehicle approval. The result is technology built by people who understand fleets, for fleets.

Laura Reeve, Commercial Director, Genie Insights

Laura Reeve

Commercial Director

As founder of Genie Insights, Laura laid the foundations of the business by supporting transport and fleet-focused organisations with practical, results-driven marketing. As the company has grown into an international provider of commercial vehicle power solutions, her role has evolved into a broader commercial leadership position.

Today, Laura oversees a wide range of core functions across the business, including marketing, tender submissions, contract negotiations, and commercial governance. She also loves a process and is responsible for the company’s ISO9001 system and ensuring everyone in the company is working to their strengths. With experience gained from working with leading OEMs, she brings a clear, structured approach to managing complexity while ensuring the business remains focused on delivering dependable, real-world solutions for customers across the UK and Europe.

Her natural strength lies in organisation and delivery – keeping projects moving, aligning teams, and making sure nothing falls between the cracks as the business continues to scale.

Outside of work, Laura’s energy is just as focused. She has a strong interest in health, fitness and longevity, and is a committed CrossFit enthusiast.

Matt Reeve

Managing Director

As Managing Director of Genie Insights, Matt has played a central role in shaping the business from its early days into a growing international provider of commercial vehicle power and technology solutions. Matt’s entire career has been in the transport sector to the point where it is in his DNA.

Often described as the original “Fleet Guardian”, Matt began by establishing the Freeway software business in Northern Ireland before expanding operations across Ireland and into Scotland. Since launching the solar division in 2019, he has been instrumental in driving its commercial success – building strong relationships with fleet operators, partners, and OEM-aligned networks.

More recently, Matt has been one of the key drivers behind the company’s expansion into wider autonomous and auxiliary vehicle power solutions, helping to broaden the Genie Insights offering in line with evolving fleet requirements.

Today, he leads the overall strategic direction of the business, guiding its growth across the UK and Europe while ensuring it remains focused on practical, reliable solutions that deliver measurable results for customers.

He remains closely connected to the commercial side of the business, bringing a hands-on approach to sales, partnerships, and key accounts.

Outside of work, Matt’s determination shows up in other ways. Despite joking that he has the spine of a 90-year-old, he has completed two marathons and an Ironman – a reflection of the resilience and persistence he brings to both business and life.
