At Genie Insights, we are committed to transforming the future of fleet management with industry-leading solutions that improve fleet reliability, compliance and cost control, whilst also driving sustainability.

Who Are We?
Founded in 2016, we have built a strong reputation as a reliable business partner, trusted by some of the largest companies in the UK and Ireland’s transport sector. We work directly with fleet operators as well as collaborating with suppliers of equipment and services to these operators. Over time, our reach has expanded, and we are now proud to support markets across Northern Europe too.

Laura Reeve
Commercial Director
As the founder of the business, Laura laid the groundwork for success by initially providing outsourced marketing services to transport-related companies. As the company expanded into new areas, Laura transitioned into her current role as Commercial Director, drawing on her experience as a marketing manager for two industry-leading OEMs.
Laura’s role is multifaceted, leveraging her natural aptitude for project management to oversee critical functions such as marketing, tender submissions, contract negotiations, and legal matters. Additionally, she has taken on HR responsibilities as the team continues to grow.
Beyond her professional life, Laura is obsessed with all things health, fitness and longevity. She’s a dedicated gym enthusiast, with a recent focus on CrossFit, and if you need tips on how to improve your gut microbiome, Laura is your woman!
Matt Reeve
Managing Director
Matt, our Managing Director is the original “Fleet Guardian”. Initially partnering with Freeway to establish the software business in Northern Ireland, he has successfully expanded operations to all of Ireland and Scotland. And since the launch of our solar division in 2019, Matt’s exceptional sales skills have been instrumental in its growth and success.
Today, Matt has taken a senior leadership position within the business, driving the company’s strategy and direction, whilst also overseeing Freeway and solar sales.
Outside of work, Matt’s dedication extends to personal fitness. Despite having the spine of a 90-year-old (!), he has completed two marathons and conquered his first Ironman in 2023 – a testament to his resilience and determination both in business and in life.

Jan Willis
Operations Director
Jan is the true backbone of Team Genie – the essential glue that holds everything together! Our team and customers alike know that no matter what is asked of Jan, she’ll get it done…and then some.
As well as wearing many ‘back office’ hats, Jan has a multi-faceted role across various areas of the business. Primarily on solar, she oversees stock management, customer orders, and customer service, but also supports with Freeway set up and customer tickets.
Jan thrives in high-pressure situations, solving challenges as they arise. Much like the ducks outside our office window, she looks calm on the surface but is always paddling like mad underneath! And you’ll often find her with a tape measure or drill in hand, as she doubles up as the resident fixer.
She also puts her Biomedical Science degree to good use in her constant quest for knowledge on health and nutrition. Like Laura, she’s a font of knowledge on the gut microbiome!
Billy Dougan
Chairman
Billy, our Chairman (and mentor), boasts a career spanning over 40 years. Having spent years selling Mercedes trucks before heading up a trailer/vehicle body manufacturing business, he brings a wealth of experience to Genie Insights. If there’s something Billy doesn’t know about these industries, it’s probably not worth knowing!
He was instrumental in establishing our solar business, in particular developing our flagship high voltage 50-watt solar panel, and continues to drive R&D within the business today.
Although semi-retired, Billy remains actively involved in Genie Insights, helping to shape the future of our solar solutions for commercial vehicles.
A proud family man and loyal friend, Billy enjoys nothing better than supporting his wife, close friendship group, four children and six grandchildren in everything they do.

Judith Erwee-Townsend
Head of Systems
Judith joined Genie Insights to bolster our Genie-Freeway family, bringing extensive global experience in digital systems implementation, particularly in the manufacturing and distribution sectors. Her meticulous attention to detail and structured approach have brought much-needed order to our growing Freeway portfolio.
As Head of Systems, Judith manages the implementation of the Freeway Fleet Systems solution, ensuring smooth onboarding, training, and ongoing support for our clients across Ireland and Scotland.
Outside of work, Judith is an avid runner and qualified coach, actively involved in her local running club. When not working or running, she enjoys travelling in her campervan with her husband and their two Cockapoos. Adding to her impressive CV, Judith is multilingual, speaking English, Dutch, Afrikaans, Flemish, and even some Croatian!
Bev Cardwell
Sales Support
As our Sales Support for the solar division, Bev works quietly and efficiently behind the scenes processing orders, managing stock and coordinating deliveries. Having worked with various truck dealers in Northern Ireland throughout her career, Bev was an obvious choice when we realised we needed more customer support. Her easy-going nature and unflappable demeanour make her a perfect addition to our (sometimes chaotic!) team.
Outside of work, Bev enjoys life’s simple pleasures – spending time with her grandchildren or savouring a pint of Guinness during the Six Nations rugby.

Industrial Expertise
Our customers typically include those whose primary function is moving goods or passengers (road transport / logistics providers) and those involved in supplying equipment and services to these companies.
With years of experience in this industry, we have a depth of knowledge in a sector that is rapidly evolving.
